bladeRF enclosure – made from laser cut acrylic

I made an enclosure for my bladeRF board from laser-cut acrylic (also known as “Perspex”). This is the first time I experimented with custom laser cutting. The laser cutting service is provided by SeeedStudio. I’m very pleased with the result, see photos below.

The acrylic used is 2.55 mm thick. The PCB is mounted to the bottom plate using eight M2.5 hex spacers. The top plate and the bottom plate are held together by four M4 hex posts.

Laser-cut acrylic is good for making a prototype enclosure. It is quick and easy to design. It requires no effort in producing them. It also has a nice distinctive look.

Do you know if your spectrum analyzer will work with the latest BeagleBone image? My BBB came with Cloud9 GNOME Image 2013.09.04 (that is what is in /etc/dogtag). I have tried numerous times to write a new image (the one you link to) using a 32G SDHC card and I cannot get it to work. I am sure I am following all the directions, but it always flashes the LEDS for about 2 minutes and then ends with the two middle ones on solid. I may try to buy a smaller SD card tomorrow but wondering if it will work with latest image?
    Thanks,
    Tom

I expect it to work if you have the necessary libraries installed, although I have not tried it.

Do you have problems with the touchscreen sometimes not pressing a button and the white cursor arrow jumping around the screen? I can operated things, but it is a bit frustrating, as the cursor sometimes jumps off the button I am trying to press. I also see this error that is being sent continually to std out, visible when I quit ViewRF. Do you ever see this?

    unknown mouse event type=3, code=18, value=0

I don’t know if it is because i did an opkg update and opkg upgrade after installing your image, or if it is hardware related, or what…?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Did you combine all parts into one design?
Could you share the file, sent to seeedstudio? I look for good example.
